Cricket Players get more power
After some of the blunder decisions given by some umpires in the Sydney match there is a wide spread demand from the cricket players and fans for the permission to challenge the field umpire’s verdict. This permission is now granted and is to be implemented shortly from the England Vs South Africa match. There are many crises regarding this grant. Umpires argue that if this gets implemented then they would become just like a show piece on the ground. There would no longer be two teams playing in the field, instead there would be a match between three sides. This would result in umpires getting reduced to spectators. But let us do think on the other side……….. Human error is part of any game. Umpires don’t have any super power to judge correctly at all times. If there are some technologies that can judge more accurately than humans then we should make avail of it. The game remains fair enough without any hard feelings form both the sides. The umpire’s verdict if sometimes proved wrong by challenging them, then they should not be embraced at that moment, rather they should take it with a sportive spirit. If advanced technology is used in judging the play the percentage of efficiency is increased, at the same time we should not allow technology spoiling the real fun of the game. So there can be some limitations for this appeal, like they can challenge the field umpire only three times or something like that which is reasonable……

My experience at BITS-pilani
Myself and my friend went to this prestigious university some days back for paper presentation event. It was totally a terror mixed with joyous moment for us there. We students here, studying under Anna university get decent scores easily, but for the students at BITS-pilani getting a CGPA above 4 out of 10 is a dream. It doesnt mean that we are so brilliant than those students studying in a university surrounded by desert. It is all due to their exam patterns. The questions will be purely application oriented where they need to apply all the theory concepts to solve the real time crisis, unlike our examination pattern where we just need to vomit the answers that we studied. It becomes obvious from this fact that those students who come out from institutions like BITS would really overcome us in all aspects.

The next thing that i liked the most is , the students dont have attendance formalities in this universities. Coming to the terror experience, we were literally stunned to see many "pathinormani katchigal" that too in the open air. The most funniest thing here is, girls call the guys as "bhaiyas" with whom they go dating. What a kodumai!!!!!!!!!!!

I should say this without fail. One can find all kinds of flowers in this wide spread campus. Flowers in all colors, i dont know how come they grow it in that desert. It was really very pleasing to see all the flowers over there. We also saw OPIUM PLANTS growing in this university, dont know for what purpose they cultivate it!!!!!!!!!!!

There is a huge gigantic Saraswathi mandir at BITS, really a splendid architecture made up of marbles. The LIBRARY - were we came to a conclusion that our college is saying a 'shelf 'to be a 'library'. The students are really gifted to have such a marvellous library.

Altogether it was a nice and different experience for us. BITS- a place were every one should step inside atleast once in their life time.

Indian tradition- in the verge of its extinction

India is known world wide for its tradition, that she posses from time unmemorable. India being a secular state consists of people belonging to various religions, of which Hinduism forms the majority. Irrespective of the religions, we the citizens of India have our own traditions and culture. We stood as an outstanding example in this matter. But all these are now becoming endangered due to the spread of westernization. People especially the students, become addict to these westernization trends and forget their own traditions. They disobey their parents, get into many evil paths. Fashion, is yet another major cause of this down fall of Indian tradition. Younger generations get attracted to these things without looking at its other side. Every thing has its own merits and de-merits. People should be open minded and abstract the good things from others. But major part of the younger generation, instead taking the good part from them, gets easily attracted towards the bad things. If this continues, India will loose its name for the tradition and culture that it preserved for a long time.
